DIAGNOSIS OF VENTILATION SYSTEMS IN DOMESTIC AND COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS
Authors: Pierre-Jean VIALLE (CETIAT), Pierre BARLES (PBC), in collaboration with ADEME, AERECO, ALDES, ANJOS, FRANCE AIR
Ventilation is necessary to bring sanitary air to the occupiers of the buildings and evacuate pollutants. Nowadays the buildings are more and more airtight and ventilation plays an essential part in the occupants health and the preservation of building. This guide presents a diagnosis method for mechanical ventilation systems: DIAGVENT.
This guide intends to be a practical tool designed for professionals: engineering and design departments, control offices, experts, installers, maintenance companies. The aim of this guide is to be the expression of a practical knowledge, stemming from the Swedish experience applied to different cases in France and from investigations conducted in domestic
and commercial buildings. 2005 - 40 p.

THE DIFFERENT WATER COOLING PROCESSES IN INDUSTRIAL AND COMMERCIAL INSTALLATIONS
CETIAT co-ordinator: Dominique HANTZ
In the context of the action plan 2004-2008 against legionella, the French ministry
for ecology and sustainable development asked CETIAT to write this guide.
It sets out the different techniques applying to fluids cooling with their advantages
and disadvantages as regards the legionella risk, but deals also with their energetic
efficiency, their implementation and maintenance costs, the environmental impact
of their operation.
Illustrated with practical examples, it gives companies technical elements to help them to choose the best adapted solution(s), taking into account the constraints
as a whole.
