Calibration method

The calibration of the anemometers is performed in a wind tunnel, by direct comparison with a reference. The reference device used by the laboratory over the whole velocity range is a laser-Doppler anemometer (L.D.A.)


Calibration conditions

The minimum COFRAC calibration programme includes 5 velocity values repeated once, i.e. 10 measuring points.

Fields and best calibration uncertainties

FIELD UNCERTAINTY
0.05 to 2 mxs-1 ±(0.006 + 0.006xVr)
0.15 to 40 mxs-1 ±(0.008 + 0.004xVr)
Vr : reference velocity (in m.s-1).
