Our means: Experimental platforms: visualisation of air flows

 

Testing method:

  • seeding of flows using particles adapted to the tested flows (velocity, temperatures,...)
  • visualisation of particles path lines using a camera and a plane surface lighted by a laser beam
  • image recording and processing


Applications:

  • useful for the diagnosis, the design on experimental model or the setting of air distribution and diffusion
  • usable on-site and in a laboratory
  • the studied flow velocities may reach a maximum of 300 m/s
  • the measuring plane may reach maximum dimensions of 10 m by 10 m


Other equipment:

  • The visualisation equipment may be completed by a Doppler laser anemometer enabling to perform an air velocities cartography
